Support assist wants to install Dell-SupportAssist-OS-Recovery-Plugin-for-Dell-Update
As title, support assist wants to install Dell-SupportAssist-OS-Recovery-Plugin-for-Dell-Update on my 8960.
I thought Dell Update had been scrapped with new SA?
I'm not going to install it even though it keeps insisting :)

To my knowledge the software will still do this, and does do the same on my laptop.
All the best!

Hi Chimaera450:
If you mean XPS 8960, just note that the XPS 8960 support page at https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/xps-8960-desktop/drivers currently lists a new Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.5.0 (rel. 01-Apr-2025), which completely contradicts the information in Dell's 04-Dec-2024 Alienware Update and Dell Update End of Life (EoL) Announcement about end of support for this app on 31-Dec-2024.
I uninstalled all SupportAssist-related software from my Inspiron 5584 about two years ago and made the mistake of installing the re-designed Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.5.0 (I assume for better integration with SupportAssist v4.8.x) that now requires Microsoft .NET 8. My 05-Apr-2025 topic Dell Update v5.5.0 (rel. 01-Apr-2025) Installs Unnecessary Bloat explains why I uninstalled this app.

Dell Inspiron 15 5584 * 64-bit Win 10 Pro v22H2 build 19045.5737 * Firefox v137.0.2 * Microsoft Defender v4.18.25030.2-1.1.25030.1 * Malwarebytes Premium v5.2.11.183-131.0.5227 * Macrium Reflect Free v8.0.7783 * My Dell v2.2.6.0 * Fusion Service 2.2.14.0
