Support Assist stuck on splash screen
I'm a Software Engineer and I have multiple versions of .NET FWK installed (4.6.2, 4.7, 4.8, NET CORE 2, 3, NET 5 and 6)
Support assist worked on a vanilla out of box installation, after installed my development tools, Support Assist stopped working and it remains stuck on the blue splash screen with the message (This is taking longer than expected. We recommend restarting your PC and trying again.)
Other colleagues have this issue too
I've had two 9520 XPS 15s in the past month, both can reproduce this issue.
I guess support assist is unable to detect the correct runtime ? Is there a way to get around it ?
The services seem to be working fine, since I get notifications about backups being taken in the background.

Turn on or restart your computer.
Press F2 to enter System Setup.
In the left pane, expand SupportAssist System Resolution, and then select SupportAssist OS Recovery.
In the right pane, select or clear the SupportAssist OS Recovery check box to enable or disable the automatic start of SupportAssist OS Recovery.

John

Please let me know if you find a solution. This is insanely annoying.

That wouldn't work for me, I get an error telling me the computer needs to restart..
