Support Assist Installer Failed
OS Windows 10 home
Installed support assistant V3.10.4 Update available V3.10.4.18 failed. S A Installer message reads unable to complete. Reboot and try again. Done this several times over 4 weeks.
Related problems Support assist application can fail to load components. I resolve by restarting/enable Dell services via Windows Tools Computer management. I've also had to do this to get Dell system Updates for BIOS etc.
Thanks

Hi Adds-up:
Is your Dell service warranty still valid?
What is your Dell computer model, antivirus, and Windows operating system? If you have a Win 10 or Win 11 OS please include the edition (Home or Pro), version and build number shown at Settings | System | About | Windows Specifications. It would also be helpful to know the current Dell BIOS version - open a Run dialog box, enter msinfo32 to open your System Information panel, and look for the “BIOS Version/Date” field.
Please read samsuzzoha's 28-Jul-2022 SupportAssist Not Updating for a few suggestions if SupportAssist v3.11.4.29 is not updating or installing correctly. That thread includes instructions for performing a clean reinstall of SupportAssist that requires the uninstall of all SupportAssist-related programs (including the Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery Plugin for Dell Update, Dell SupportAssist Remediation, etc, if installed) before SupportAssist is reinstalled. Also note that the minimum system requirements posted <here> for SupportAssist v3.11.4.29 have changed and MS .NET (Core) Runtime v5.0.17 is now required in addition to MS .NET Framework v4.7.2 or higher. From my Inspiron 5584:
There are several users currently having issues installing or running the latest SupportAssist v3.4.11.29 (rel. 23-Jun-2022) and many have decided to wait for Dell to release a new version of SupportAssist that will hopefully install and run correctly on their system. If you decide to do this you can install the Dell Update v4.x application recommended on the support page for your Dell computer model and unique Service Tag (I currently use Dell Update for Windows Universal v4.6.0 on my Inspiron 5584) and use Dell Update v4.x to check for available Dell software and driver updates.
_________________________________________
Just an aside, but I never allow SupportAssist or Dell Update to install a BIOS update on my Inspiron 5584 - I always close all my running programs, download the standalone .exe installer from the support page for my Inspiron 5584 and save it to my desktop, right-click, and choose "Run as Administrator". There are even some users who don't feel this "Update from Windows" method is safe and prefer to use the "Update from BIOS Boot Menu" method using a removable USB thumb drive. If you go to the support page for your Dell computer model and click the "View Full Driver Details" link for the recommended BIOS .exe installer, the detailed release notes will have instructions for both these methods in the section titled "Installation Instructions".

Since the release of the new version of SupportAssist it have had problems with the installer. My advice is to wait for dell to fix the installer. When fixed it should install automatically as before. I have stopped trying to find a solution for this SA update.
