Support Assist Installation failed
Hi,
I had the issue that Support Assist was always producing an error when checking for driver updates. As well all latest versions of Dell Command Update, Dell Update do not start, and the Check-for-Drivers on the support page states "driver check currently not availabe since months.
Following suggestions made here in the forum, I decided to uninstall all Support Assist, Dell Update, Dell Command update etc. Dell softwares and to re-install them. Followed all the steps described in the YouTube Video https://youtu.be/oHS2HvOoarc.
Now when trying to install the latest version 3.10... SupportAssist, the installation fails after the step "Downloading and installing start-up files. Restarted several times, Avira protection and firewall deactivated, tried "run as administrator" for the installer file etc. as suggested in similar issues threads here. All Drivers and BIOS are up to date. Still the same issue.
I have no idea anymore. It's just annoying that since months the only option to stay up to date with drivers is to always have to go to the support page, check the date of the latest releases and see when installing that I might already have had the latest one... None of the Dell solutions for this is working.
XPS13 9360 i7-7560U
Win10 Home 64bit, Version 21H1, latest build 19043.1415
If anyone has an idea how to sort this, some help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Manuel
