SA Recovery Assistant, Dell update not installed, #3
I also have the same issue. I reset my Dell XPS 15 9500 because it suddenly wouldn't boot, but I also selected "Yes Backup my files". Now when I open Recovery Assistant, it shows me the list of backed up files, but when will it ever restore them??

Hi winwin3642:
I've never used SupportAssist OS Recovery to back up and recover personal files during a system recovery so I'm not sure if I can be of any help to you.
What step did you reach in the support article Restore Your System Using Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery? (note: for the section titled Recovery Process, be sure you click on the appropriate tab labeled "SupportAssist OS Recovery 5.0" or "SupportAssist OS Recovery 4.1", depending on which software version you used).
For example, if you used SupportAssist OS Recovery 5.x, did you reach the final step (Figure 9) where you were asked to follow the on-screen instructions to finish the Windows "out of box experience" (OOBE) setup for selecting your preferred language, region, etc.? If so did the SupportAssist Recovery Assistant (helper application) guide you through the process to update your Windows OS and Dell software and recover the personal files you backed up after your system re-booted?
