SA, do all things manually?
Is there a way to manually do all the things SA (SupportAssist) does for me, or is there a free substitute for the program? I'm quite ignorant on these things and my SA warranty is about to expire. I don't think I can afford to keep paying it, so I'd like to figure out if there's a way to do all these things manually, or is there a free substitute for the program? Like, updating all drivers, optimizing the network, scan hardware, and tune up performance. I already know how to clean files.

Hi MarkFleener,
the SupportAssist for PCs even works after your warranty has ended. ;)
You will not be able to get SA auto-create a case if any kind of an error occurs.
And now, to answer your question, no, there is no such utility (from Dell) that brings you all those nice features.
Carry on use SupportAssist :)
Cheers
Stefan
