Reformatting the Machine: Use SupportAssist, or Windows Reset This PC?
Basically, the question is in the subject line.
Does it make any difference whether I use SupportAssist, or Windows's bespoke Reset This PC function, to reformat my XPS 7590? Is one method inherently better than the other, or are they basically the same?
It seems to me that the Windows solution has an advantage in that it should load the latest version of Windows immediately on the machine, whereas SupportAssist, I assume, would load the version of Windows that was originally loaded onto the machine, and you'd have to then update Windows to the latest version. That's what I had to do with every other machine from other manufacturers I owned before. It's an extra step.
Otherwise, is one better than the other?

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

I just want a simple reply to the question and not get bogged down in corporate bureaucracy along the way.
