pcdrsysinfocommunication.p5x Stop Working

Hello,

In my reliability history, it states that pcdrsysinfocommunication.p5x stops working (at random in my opinion). This is connected to Dell SupportAssist. Does anyone know how to fix this so that I stop getting this message? Thanks

Thanks for the response.

I have tried uninstalling it, but I will try one more time (will try deleting any files it leaves behind also). If not, I will look at RoHe's posts, but I will most likely uninstall it.

Your response is more helpful than over a weeks worth of chatting with Dell agents (they told me to reinstall Windows to see if it fixed it). Thanks again.

Edit: Uninstalled SupportAssist completely. When I tried reinstalling, the pcdrsysinfocommunication.p5x stopped working immediately, so I have no where left to go. If anyone has any solutions, please post, or I will make one of the posts as the solution tomorrow. Thanks

1. Smart user

2. Yes, I also think that is likely.

3. No, never see it.

We are not suppose to tell people to just uninstall "Support Assist" so I guess you can try clean-installing it or waiting for an updated version.

@RoHe  also often posts the steps to disable it's (troublesome ?) Services. Check in this XPS-Desktop section.
