Help Restoring Files

My windows 10 pc would not boot past the login screen so I used Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery to make a clean install of windows and chose the option to back up my files.   The back up took all night so I'm sure it did something but when Windows came back, my files are no where to be found.   I chose the option in SupportAssist OS Recovery to look for files but it does not find any.   Are they hidden somewhere?    Thank you so much!!
