Factory reset

I have as older Dell Inspiron B130 which belonged to her late husband. When I start it the screen opens to say, system #DVHKV91-595B needs authentication password. I obviously don’t have this. It doesn’t even open to windows XP so I can’t reboot that way. I need to factory reset somehow
