DSA updated itself in the background.... while it was impossible to do "manually"
More and more UN-understandable !
DSA, that was impossible to update when manually requested (due to .NET runtime 6.0.10 - see https://www.dell.com/community/SupportAssist-for-PCs/support-Assist-not-updating/m-p/8289349#M93959 and/or https://www.dell.com/community/SupportAssist-for-PCs/Dell-Support-Assist-fails-to-install/m-p/8286042#M93903) updated itself in the background ! While .NET runtime 6.0.10 is installed on my laptop !
I'm now with version 3.12.3.5 of DSA.
I presume (but I'm not sure !) that this update has been started thanks to a task, named "Dell SupportAssistAgent AutoUpdate", stored in root folder of Windows TaskManager, and that launches the command "C:\Program Files\Dell\SupportAssistAgent\bin\FrameworkAgents\SupportAssistInstaller.exe AutoUpdate". I have not created this task myself. I guess it comes from DSA itself.
But what is strange, is the fact that now this task is supposed to be scheduled every monday at 10h30 am, while the update took place yesterday, that was a friday (and not a monday), at 18h27 (and not at 10/30 am)....
Really NOT understandable...
But good news is that
- last version of DSA is now in place
- and this DID'NT require any downgrade of .NET runtime from 6.0.10 to 6.0.9.... (contrary to what @DELL-Nathalia M was requiring in her "solutions"....)
