Hi stoneycart:

What is your Dell computer model, your Windows operating system [if WIn 10 or Win 11 open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and enter winver to find the version and OS build number] and your BIOS version?  To find your current BIOS version open a Run dialog box, enter msinfo32 to open your System Information, and look for the field named "BIOS Version / Date" in the summary.

If you go to Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features does it show you have the current SupportAssist v4.6.3 (released 24-Dec-2024)?  Multiple users reported seeing dell.coreservice.exe APPCRASHs logged in their Windows Reliability Monitor after updating to v4.6.2, and according to Dell employee DELL-Nat M's 15-Jan-2025 post in Rockface's Dell.CoreServices Crashing Frequently a clean reinstall of SupportAssist v4.6.3 should solve this problem.

Hi Laurent1717:

Has your Dell service warranty expired yet?

I uninstalled all SupportAssist-related programs from my Inspiron 5584 after my service warranty expired (they were too buggy and consumed too much RAM and CPU) so at this point my only suggestion is that you try (another) clean reinstall of SupportAssist as instructed in employee DELL-Nat M's 24-Dec-2024 post in MichaelInParis's Any way to reduce the size of the DTPDB.DB file?. First, make sure that all remnants of previous SupportAssist installations are removed from your system per those clean reinstall instructions. Next, restart your computer and download a fresh copy of the latest SupportAssistInstaller.exe from https://downloads.dell.com/serviceability/catalog/SupportAssistinstaller.exe, save the .EXE file to your desktop, right-click, and choose "Run as Administrator".  Please note that a new installer was released on 23-Mar-2025 that should install SupportAssist v4.8.1.27758.

If a clean reinstall of the latest v4.8.1.27758 doesn't fix your Dell.CoreServices.Client.exe problem then post back and let us know your Dell computer model, the version and OS build of your Windows operating system [open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and enter winver], antivirus, and BIOS version.  To find your current BIOS version open a Run dialog box, enter msinfo32 to open your System Information, and look for the field named "BIOS Version / Date" in the summary.

Hi Laurent1717:

Then please let us know your if your Dell service warranty has expired, as well as your Dell computer model, the version and OS build of your Windows operating system, antivirus, and BIOS version as requested in my post <above>.  You've posted in some of your previous replies in this forum that you have an Inspiron 17 5000 series computer but please provide the exact model number (e.g., Inspiron 17 5767).

What version of Alienware Command Center (AWCC) are you currently using, and do you have any other Dell utilities like Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.5.0 installed?

Hello I still have the dell warranty and i have an alienware 16 Aurora 24h2 ...

Hi Laurent1717:

Do you mean Alienware Aurora R16, and do you know if Dell Core Services is a component of the latest Alienware Command Center (AWCC) v6.x *?  The installation date of Dell Core Services at Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features might provide a clue.

My Inspiron 5584 is not compatible with AWCC so I have no idea if the Dell Core Services on your machine:

  1. Was installed by your AWCC v6.x app.
  2. Was installed by another Dell utility. **
  3. Is an orphaned remnant that was left behind on your system after you uninstalled SupportAssist v4.x.

* NOTE: Codrut Popescu's 16-Nov-2024 How to prevent AWCC from reinstalling? suggests that Dell Core Services is a shared Dell program that is now required by many Dell utilities like SupportAssist, Dell Optimizer, AWCC, etc

** NOTE: My 02-Apr-2025 topic Dell Update v5.5.0 (rel. 01-Apr-2025) Installs Unnecessary Bloat suggests that some of the "extra" components now bundled with the latest Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.5.0, including Dell Core Services and/or Dell TechHub service, are not necessary for this app to function correctly.

Your Dell service warranty has not expired yet, so if an uninstall / reinstall of AWCC doesn't stop your Dell.CoreServices.Client.exe errors I'd suggest you contact Dell customer support by clicking the blue Get Help Now button in the bottom-right corner of each page on the forum to start a Live Chat.  After you type in your question an automated chat bot will ask for your email address and the unique Service Tag of your Dell computer.  Once it confirms you still have a valid service warranty it should connect you to a live customer service rep.

If Dell customer support can't provide a solution you might want to post in the Alienware Laptop board at https://www.dell.com/community/en/topics/alienware and ask other AWCC users if they are seeing the same Dell.CoreServices.Client.exe errors logged in their Reliability Monitor at each Windows startup and shutdown.  Your Win 11 v24H2 OS still as many known issues (see <here>), and it's also possible the extra security measures built in to your OS are causing a glitch when Dell Core Services loads / unloads from memory.
