Dell W/11 Says my W/11 doesn't support the W/11 update
Inspiron 7700 AIO
Says there is an update, but 'can't install update, run Fix', then get 'this PC doesn't currently meet Windows 11 system requirements'. What this all about?

Hi MO Len:
When you say "Says there is an update" what software are you referring to (e.g., Windows Update, SupportAssist v4.x **, Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.x, etc.)? If you mean SupportAssist or some other Dell utility what version are you currently using?
What is the edition (Home or Professional), version, and OS build number of your Win 11 OS [open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and enter winver], and what is your current BIOS version? To find your BIOS version open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R), enter msinfo32 to view your System Information, and look for the field named "BIOS Date/Version". ***
The support page for your Inspiron 7700 AIO at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/inspiron-27-7700-aio/drivers lists a critical update for the Intel Chipset Device Software v10.1.19949.8616 (Intel-Chipset-Device-Software_K1T72_WIN64_10.1.19949.8616_A01.EXE) that was just released on 02-Dec-2024. Do you know if this update has been installed on your system yet? NOTE: Always click the "This Device" tab on that Drivers & Downloads page, enter your unique Service Tag to see a filtered list of updates that match your system components, and ensure that page correctly auto-detects your Window OS.
If you run an F12 ePSA (enhanced Pre-boot System Assessment) on-board hardware diagnostic from your Dell BIOS as instructed in the support article How to Run a Preboot Diagnostic Test on a Dell Computer (also see the companion video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cfFECs5Qa0) does it detect any problems? If so, what error code does your ePSA scan report?

** NOTE: If you meant SupportAssist and are using the current SupportAssist v4.0.3 please read employee DELL-Chris M 10-Jun-2024 SupportAssist, "Hardware scan fails", "We ran into a problem" about some of the known bugs in this version. According to employee DELL-Nat M's 19-Nov-2024 post in jmarsh09's Update Not Working On Support Assist a new version of SupportAssist v4.x will be released soon (the new Nov 2024 release notes have already been posted at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/dell-supportassist-pcs-tablets/docs and state the upcoming SupportAssist version will require Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime v8.0.x.) so if you're seeing buggy behaviour with SA v4.0.3 I'd recommend you wait until the next version is officially released and see if that fixes your problem.
*** WARNING: I would strongly advise that you do NOT allow a Dell utility like SupportAssist v4.x or Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.x to update you BIOS, since any glitch during the update process could leave your system unbootable. If SupportAssist v4.x is installed see the instructions <here> in the SupportAssist v4.0 User Guide for disabling automatic updates.
When I update my BIOS I normally save the .exe installer recommended on the Drivers & Downloads tab of my Inspiron 5584 support page to my desktop and then right-click and choose "Run as Administrator". However, the safer method is to flash your BIOS from a removable USB stick.
