Same issue happening here. I found this forum board on Dr.Windows and the people there pointed the issue to Dell update/SupportAssit and/or the Killer Networking Services.

Hi uwe-dembski:

I've been seeing the same UsbUpdate.exe error logged every few days on my Inspiron 5584 laptop since 27-May-2022.

You might want to follow LittleMaui's Inspiron 3891, Event Viewer Error - Usbupdate.exe Fails in the Inspiron Desktop board. I haven't read the entire thread yet (see my 08-Jun-2022 post <here> on page 14 of that thread) but it's clearly a widespread problem on a range of Dell computer models, and to date I still don't know why this UsbUpdate.exe error is being logged in my Windows of Reliability Monitor and Event Viewer.

EDIT:

I should also mention that I don't have any Killer adapters or networking software on my system.

Hi uwe-dembski:

I see you posted in LittleMaui's thread so you likely already know this, but other users following this thread should note that employee DELL-Chris M posted the following <here> on 09-Jun-2022:

"We have been told the the fix will be an automated update push through SupportAssist."

Many users, including myself, have noticed that their UsbUpdate.exe errors have stopped in the past day or so.  However, the version numbers of SupportAssist, Dell Update and my other Dell utilities have not changed and Dell has not explained how users can confirm that the fix has been applied to their system.

My best guess is that an updated UsbUpdate.exe was pushed out to my system after I launched SupportAssist on 09-Jun-2022 (i.e., during the initial self-check for an active internet connection and any available SupportAssist update) but I'm not really sure why the errors suddenly stopped on my system.
