Dell Support cannot fix defective Dell SupportAssist for Home PCs software

Shortly after I purchased the Inspiron 16 7630 2-in-1 with Windows 11 Home, Dell SupportAssist for Home PCs quit working. I exhaustively searched the internet and found this was a very common problem. I tried all solutions myself, including "Dell recommended" solutions found in these forums. After several months and dozens of tries, I found none that worked. 

Then I contacted Dell Support. Their first 1.5 hour effort worked ... for a few weeks. Then it failed again. So I contacted Dell Support again. They fixed it again ... for weeks. They had me delete my McAfee anti-virus related software from my computer saying that Microsoft's antivirus is sufficient, and it may be causing the problem.

Then it quit working a 3rd time. Then a 4th time with the last fix working only a few days. 

So I called a fifth time. This time the tech asked if a Windows 11 reinstallation was an option. I said yes. They started the process, but I had to abbreviate the session due to a previously scheduled doctor appointment. The tech asked if I would later make the Windows reinstallation thumb drive myself (which I did). 

When I got back with Dell Support a few days later, I was surprised to discover I now had to pay them to continue working on the issue. I made repeated pleas to the support services manager, but all I got back were canned answers that patronized me as a customer and said I have to pay for any further support for this issue. 

I’m not going to pay for something they have proven they are incapable of solving.  

It is clear that Dell SupportAssist for Home PCs software is extremely poor, problem laden software.  

Other than discarding the laptop and buying a different brand, anyone have any ideas?
