DELL SUPPORT ASSIST CAN'T INSTALL SOFTWARE UPDTAES

I have Inspiron 27 All-in-one.  Today Dell Support Assist reported that there are two software updates available.  They download but installation fails.  When I restart the computer and reopen Dell Support Assist it says it is taking too long and recommends a restart.  Have restarted three times but no further on.

Any advice on how to rectify this would be welcome.  I am not particularly well versed in computer terminology ect -  so please keep it simple.
