Dell Optimizer left my battery uncharged
Hi,
I've been using My Dell to control the maximum charging of my battery, and to my dismay, I learned that My Dell has been replaced by Dell Optimizer, which, however, doesn't offer the option to set the maximum charge level of my laptop's battery. My problem is that now my battery doesn't charge above 75 %, whichever setting I choose in Dell Optimizer, and I have no idea how to set it up to use the full capacity whenever I need it (e.g.: before a flight where I need to work).
Any ideas how to change the maximum charge level on my laptop's battery now?
Also, any ideas why we are being infantilized and deprived of control over our devices?

Many of Dell laptops allow users to select battery charging preference in BIOS settings. Go to Power section in BIOS settings and select Standard charge option. That will allow the battery to be fully charged.

Thanks! Is this the... only way? Do I understand it right that My Dell had a perfectly functional and really useful tool to control the charging percentage of you battery, and now it's just gone, and I have to enter BIOS to change it ?:D That would be the rollback of the century, like going back a good 10 years.
