black screen on PC Inspiron
Hello, please help…i have tried many ideas from the Google and YouTube, but nothing can solve the issue. I have Dell Inspiron bought in 2018. When I turn on the PC, Dell sign will come up then go to Bios/Pre-boot performance check/test. Then I click continue, and only black screen show up. I ran all the pre-boot performance check/test and all passed. I unplugged and plugged all cables and Ram as well. Nothing worked. Can anyone tell me what happened to my PC? Thank you so much. firen4g4

If you could ran the pre boot performance test and they were all passed, it's very likely that your system can be restored to working condition again.
You can go to Dell support site https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk and use the system service tag to search for the model of your 2018 Inspiron (do not post it here). Then, locate the documentations for instructions of how to replace your system coin cell battery.
After replacing the coin cell battery with a fresh, new CR2032, you can perform CMOS reset via jumper. You will need to adjust BIOS settings again to match hardware configurations and your usage preference.
You will need to create a Windows installer media from Windows Creation Tool and boot into F12, one time boot menu to perform Windows repair. If needed, a clean installation of operating system is suggested.

Hi Chino,
Thanks for your reply. I did replace the new battery but not sure how to perform CMOS reset via jumper.
There was one time the window did the repair on some errors. Then still black screen.
