After larger cumulative updates, Support Assist has to be rerun from scratch
Whenever there are larger cumulative and/or system updates, the Dell SupportAssist website becomes no longer able to "see" that SA is already installed on the computer being used. It requires that the installation executable file be redownloaded and rerun. SA then goes through an analysis of the computer before allowing the user to go back to the Dell SA website, automatically search for updates from Dell, and then download/install them. Smaller updates do not interfere with SA. This is a Dell issue. As long as SA is installed on a computer's hard drive already, there should be no need to redownload and rerun the executable file to get the automatic update search to run again. Dell needs to correct this flaw.
