Hi Own alk:
See employee DELL-Chris M's 10-Jun-2024 SupportAssist, "Hardware scan fails", "We ran into a problem" about known issues with the current SupportAssist v4.0.3. DELL-Chris M advises that "The easiest workaround for now is to uninstall SA and await the new version".
Assuming you have a Vostro 3520, you should be able uninstall SupportAssist v4.0.3 and use Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.4.0 to check for available updates while you are waiting for Dell to release a newer version of SupportAssist. This utility does not automatically load at Windows startup and run in the background like SupportAssist and it has fewer features than SupportAssist (e.g., it cannot optimize your system or run hardware diagnostics) but it will check for available Dell software and hardware driver updates that match your unique Service tag.
If Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.4.0 isn't already installed on your system then go to the Vostro 3520 support page at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/vostro-15-3520-laptop/drivers, click the This Device tab, and enter your unique Service Tag to display a filtered list of Dell software and drivers are compatible with your system components. If you find that Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.4.0 is a match for your Service Tag then download the .exe installer (Dell-Update-Windows-Universal-Application_HG1TN_WIN_5.4.0_A00.EXE, rel. 31-Jul-2024) and save it to your desktop, close your browser, right-click the .exe installer, and choose "Run as Administrator".

NOTE: I personally found that SupportAssist was too buggy and consumed too many system resources so I uninstalled SupportAssist after the service warranty for my Inspiron 5584 expired. I currently use Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.x (which will reach end of support in January 2025) to check for available updates and I can run the F12 ePSA (enhanced Pre-boot System Assessment) from my Dell BIOS if I want to run Dell hardware diagnostics.
