Working with the Staging Database
Hello all:
Yes, I've opened a SR. Yes, I'm at the latest patches for my environment. ECC 6.0.0.650.
I have a number of VM Guests (W2k3 SP2) on a discovered ESX (3.5) servers with a Master Agent (6.0.0.33) that will not log into ECC. The server.trc log calls these hosts a clone, citing "The Staging DB is out of synch".
Per emc144641, I have performed the following, to no effect:
From Repository host, stop and start the OracleServiceRAMBDB service.
From %ECC_HOME%\Repository\admin\ramb_scripts command prompt, run ramb_staging_disable.bat.
From %ECC_HOME%\Repository\admin\ramb_scripts command prompt, run ramb_staging_enable.bat.
From Repository host, stop and start the OracleServiceRAMBDB service.
Start all ECC Infrastructure services.
Using ECC Console, I have attempted to delete the host MO as reported by the ESX discovery, attempted to restart the Master Agent on the VM Guest... all to no avail.
I'm just wondering if anyone has dealt with this and if they could resolve this at all. My management is eager to get some useful data. The lack of documentation on this topic is ... interesting.
