WLA Data Collection Failure

In one of Sun hosts, I get the following error:
" Reliable Distributio of Data for Collection "WLA daily 00" failed for Host=xxx. sendToComponent() failed with a return code of 4"
Please advise me for any solutions

To best determine why, one would need to have the Host Agent logs from the host investigated (and of course the Host Agent logs would have to cover the same time frame in which the alert was generated).

Once the logs are obtained and looked at, we would be able to determine why this alert was triggered.

The alert on it's own is a little too generic. Maybe you could check the knowledge base to see if anything suits.

EDIT:

If you cannot find anything and it happens again, maybe use your service contract to open a service request to have it investigated by one of the support regions.

I'd suggest checking KB article emc160452 to see if you have an issue with WLA trying to service too many clients. The fix is to increase a parameter in the ENW.ini file. This case references ECC 5.2, but it applies to ECC 6.0 as we found out since this fixed a similar situation we had.

Otherwise this alert could mean many number of things including a flaky network connection between the host and the WLA archiver.

Hi,

This issue is caused by an overloaded agent diskqueue for the ControlCenter managed object that is mentioned in the alert message.

For more information please see Knowledge base emc163409.

Thanks
