WLA Archiver Agents

Need to know what causing this and what should be done.
No WLA Archiver Agents found in Component Table. Data cannot be collected.[alert from ECC host].
Really appreciate if you share your knowledge on ECC agents and its functionaly/purpose.

It can be moved for you by a moderator. Since I'm not one of them, you'd have to wait until one picks this up. In the meantime you don't have to wait, but I'm affraid I cannot be of much help here.

The WLA Archiver is an add-on to the ECC environment which allows you to retain historical performance data and generate charts and extract this data at a later date. The WLA archiver is the collector piece which functions by deploying policies with the respective agents (Symmetrix, Host, FCC, etc.) to do the actual data polling. That is the 10k foot overview.

First question - are you running and have a license WLA archiver in your environment? If you do not then you simply probably have a policy enabled that you should not have enabled.

You can tell what agent generated the alert in the Alert display under "Agent" which points you to what policy to check. If you double click the alert you will be able to tell what alert definition generated the alert.

If you should have WLA enabled then you have some sort of configuration issue that needs to be addressed. In that case your best bet is to get a SAC case open to trouble-shoot this in more detail.

Hopefully this is at least a start.

Hi,

As far as my understanding goes, this error occured when WLA archiver agent is overloaded. And when a ControlCenter configuration contains multiple Workload
Analyzer Archiver agents, you need to use MO Archiver Remap Utility to manually reassign top-level managed objects (storage arrays, databases, switches, hosts, and so forth) to specific Workload Analyzer Archiver agents.

For more information please download CC6.0_MO Archiver Remap Utility Technical Notes Rev A01.pdf from powerlink.
