Vmware guest level reporting by Tier ?
Hello,
Currently we have ECC 6.0 in our environment with 3 storage pools defined ( Tier 1 , Tier 2, Tier 3 )
I know how much storage is allocated to each Physical Vmware host and from which Tier.
But Is there any way we can know the vmware guest level storage allocation by tier ?
Thanks .

StorageScope added service level support in ECC 6.1 UB7. So you need to upgrade to at least UB7 to get tier report. For UB7 and above, each lun is tagged with service level. Service level consists one or more tiers.
In query builder, there is a built-in query "VMware Usage". This query shows end to end relationship from VM Guest -> ESX Server -> VMFS -> ESX Server Device -> Array -> Array Lun. Please copy this query and add a new object "Service Level" and then choose 'Service Level Name". Then you will be able to find out what service level each VM guest storage comes from.
