Sysprep / Ghost - Master Agent not unique.

We sysprep may servers here, today I installed the ECC Master agent (6.xxx) on two of them. Only one shows up in ECC at any time and depending on who's service starts last, it's the one that resides in ECC. What files / keys do I need to delete to make these unique again (like SIDs of olde).

Thanks,

Eric.

I'm looking up the details for this, cause I know I saw this just the other day.

In the meantime, the best way to do this would be to make your Ghost copy from a system with the agents installed but never started. This will bypass the problem as the unique file don't get created until the agents start for the first time.

Found it.

Stop the Master Agents on both hosts.
Delete the host objects in ECC.
On the hosts, delete all comfiles and .lck files in /windows/ecc.
Restart the Master Agents on both hosts.

This should allow them both to register as seperate objects in ECC.

Allen hit it right on the head, but here is the EMC KB article referencing this fix: emc92671

I have uninstalled EMC, deleted the whole c:\ecc folder, deleted the contents of c:\windows\ecc, emptied the recycle bin, and unregistered the ecc service. I STILL get the all four of my syspreped boxes overwritting each other. Is there ANYTHING else to delete?
