Storage scope report help
I'm trying to produce a report to see the SAN storage allocated to it. I can get the total storage but I want to see how much is DMX and how much is Clariion.
Anyone got any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks
Sean

Here is an example that I hope is helpful where we start with the built-in Array Utilization Details. I apologize if I am providing too much detail but hopefully it will be helpful to others as well.
1) Launch the Query Builder - from the menu bar, mouse over Analysis and select Query
2) Select the radio button next to Array Utilization Details
3) At the bottom of the page, click on the Copy button
4) A new window pops up where you can modify the Name and Description to meet your needs. The name defaults to Copy of Array Utilization Details.
5) Click the Next > button four times until you get to page 5 - Select sorting, grouping & total options.
6) In the Sort Order column, look at row 1 and make sure the Column Name is Arrays.Array Type.
7) In that same row, click the radio button in the Subtotal by column. It should have moved from No subtotals.
Step 7 is the critical step. It tells the Query Builder to create a grouping based on the Array Type, which will have a value like Symmetrix or Clariion and provide subtotals for each value. If you have other arrays but only want Symmetrix or Clariion, you can also filter by Array.Array Type in the Create Filters configuration in the previous wizard screen.
Note, you can group on more than one column.
The position of the radio button indicates that all rows above and including the row with the radio button should have groupings and the sort order is prioritized from top to bottom.
Checking the Show summaries only checkbox causes Query Builder to only show summary rows and not the individual (detail) rows that factored into the subtotal.
8) Click Next > to modify any run-time configuration, then Save to save the query, and then Run Now to execute it.

Did you select Show Summaries Only which would explain why you only get a row for each type of array - Clariion and DMX.
Are you saying that the columns are the same for each of the two rows? Do the rows indicate they are Subtotal rows?
Would it be possible to provide the details of your query, particularly, the information from Step 5 - Select sorting, grouping & total options as well as the output (feel free to XXX out any confidential information).

If you want to do this, you can start with the built-in Host and Array Devices query, create a copy, and customize the copy.
Alternatively, you can create a new query with the following parameters.
Step 2 Areas of Interest - Hosts, Host Devices, Arrays, LUNs
Step 3 Columns - Arrays.Array Name, Arrays.Array Type, Hosts.Host Name, LUNs.LUN Name, Host Devices.Host Device Capacity
Step 4 Create Filters - Host.Host Name equal to fastsna09ssql08
Step 5 Select sorting, grouping & total options
