SRDF/CE question on a status as seen from ECC

Just a question for the group here dealing with SRDF-CE and ECC.
Apparently some time back someone at my account attempted to perform an SRDF operation using ECC. The operation failed and was so long ago that the exact operation being performed has become cloudy and uncertain. I looked at the ECC report on the particular drive (R2) and notice that R2 STATE is different than any other R2 volume...that is the problem volume being NOT READY and everyone else being WRITE DISABLED. no tracks are owed the drive reports consistent. the R2 SA STATUS reports that the problem volume is WRITE DISABLED.
Has anyone seen any inconsistencies with ECC reporting 5.2 sp5 like this and does anyone have any suggestions? suggestion from the support center is to change port flags, but there are other volumes NOT reporting a problem...what about going to Data Protection-.SRDF->ADVANCED->SRDF WRITE DISABLE...what wil this do?

thanks
