SMI agent to manage ADIC tape libraries
Hi
We have ECC 6 with SMI agent used to manage ADIC tape libraries. The last updated time is listed as a month ago. However the Last discovered and Last modified time for Symmetrix devices is recent. Can soem one explain how SMI agent works and if this is an issue? How can I make sure that ADIC libarries are discovered on a regular basis. Is there a policy that governs how frequestntly agents perform discovery?
Thanks

there is a data collection policy to do this (Storage Agent for SMI-S -> Discovery for Tape_Library_00).
But how you get your libraries in ECC. I have a problem to discover our i2k. I`ve tried assited Tape Library discover by Provider Namespace "root/cimv2" (details see emc136241 but it`s for ECC5.2) and get this error:
ADAErrorSet:9, : moTypes obtained through access data (TapeLibrary) are all different than MOTYPE specified in MOLIST
Do I need an special SMI-S Provider or just enable SMI-S on library?
