Setup switch command failed. No fibre channel connectivity agent was able to setup the switch
Hello All,
Here's what I have: Fresh install of ECC 6.1 UB8. Distributed infrastracture on (2) VMWare Guests. The Brocade SMI is installed on a proxy server. I'm using the direct connect option in the configuration of the SMI. I keep getting the following error: Setup switch command failed. No fibre channel connectivity agent was able to setup the switch. What am I missing here?

Hi,
It would be best to open a SR for this issue. The 'Setup switch command' error can be caused by a number of different things. Support would be able to collect the applicable logs and open up WebEx etc.

HI !!
Look at this !
- between servidor where are installed SMI y el FCC: Ports 5988 y 5989 bidireccionales.
- between SMI and switches:
- between FCC and switches: Puertos 161 y 162 bidireccionales
When you installed Smi agent, be sure to put 5988 and 5989. and the end be sure that the switches are CONNECTED....
THEN in the console ecc, to dicover, put ip to de smi are installed...
