SDR of a mounted and active meta volume

I would like to copy (SDR) a meta volume to another FA while the Meta Lun is in use by an exchange cluster. Would there be any problems in doing this ?

I have to add a server to the cluster and I noticed that the SAN connections are not balanced. In that I mean that I have one HBA making two hops while its partner is making only one. If I SDR the disks to another FA I can reduce the hops.
