sanity check for console timeout
After a period of inactivity my ecc console becomes locked and requests a password in order to unlock it and continue work. If I simply hit exit instead of entering a password the dialog box goes away and I have full access to the console.
I've got a workaround in place to deal with a roaming profile related bug that has existed since at least the days of 5.1.2 and want to know if this unlock issue is a remnant of that workaround or if it exists elsewhere.
Could a couple of you let your 6.0 console inactivity timer expire and then hit exit at the password dialog and see what happens.
We're at java 529 but I believe this existed at 393, 386 and 357 as well. Please include your java version just in case.
Thanks!

I've just clicked 'Exit' on my Console here this morning and it asks me 'Are you sure?'. When I click 'Yes' the Console exits...
You probably need to open a SR so that Support can determine the exact issue in you environment. Console trc and server trc files will be required from the time of a repro.

Keep in mind the java version you see in your output below is from the java that is in your path as a windows user and not the version that your console uses. You could check that by going to the jre/bin directory of your console install (maybe c:\program files\ecc\console\jre\bin) and checking the java version in that directory.
The version info I was talking about comes from the ecchf_contents.log file that is located in your ECC root on the box you have the server component installed on. This lists a history of all of your hotfixes and might look something like this:
HF4072 sdm symm 6000216 15:07:28 2-5-2008

This shows the EMC hotfix identifier, the patched component, what level that component is patched to and a timestamp.
Anyone at 6.0 able to check this out and confirm one way or the other?

I'm going to leave a 6.0.0.0.527 Console running overnight and I'll report back my findings tomorrow morning.
