Request to enhace Support for IBM Storage Volume Controller

Hi to all

There is any schedule for give support under Ionix ControlCenter to enhace the discover for third party arrays? In this case, I'm talking about IBM's Storage Volume Controller.

In our IBM's storage environment, we have DS8100 arrays that are  linked to the SVC's. In fact, SVC's virtualize the slaves DS8100 storage.

So, we can perform reports regarding DS8100 but are useless because there is no relationship between th DS and the host. The presentation is performed by SVC.

In fact, SVC is browsable using SMI Agent, and we can perform discover, but this discover give us only partial information, and consequently, there is no way to perform reporting via StorageScope or analyze performance using Performance Manager.

Would be a good idea to think about to give real support regarding this kind of arrays, to make ControlCenter more competitive.

As far as I know, ControlCenter 6.1 will have a new Update Bundle in the next months, but doesn't know nothing about new enhacements. In other way, is it possible that new ControlCenter version ( doesn't know when ) considers to enhace it?

Anyone is concerned to this ?

Thanks in advance.

With regards
