Hi jade,

Do you have the same problem with the Master Agent if you install it via the GUI (i.e. MasterAgent.exe)?

Is there any log generated? Maybe something like installMA.log?

You may need to open a SR with Support if the issue persists.

Hi jade,

ControlCenter components (including the Master Agent) cannot be installed on Windows hosts without first disabling Terminal Services (which requires a reboot).

Than you very much...i solve the problem 1) disable the anti virus
2) clear the registry
3) stop the terminal services
4) important ..... install from emc
media directly .....don't copy the media to hard disk ...but from the CDROM directly

You can install via hard disk but you need to map a drive to do so. Mount the copy of the CDROM as a new drive letter and it will work fine and be way more efficient than moving a physical cdrom around.

- Copy the CDROM to a directory
- share that directory
- map that share as a drive letter
- install master agent from that mapped drive
- unmap the share on the client if you chose.

You can't use UNC (\\server\blah) and you have to have the install_master.bat available at the root of your mount (if you map to S: then you need to see S:\install_master.bat in order for it to work, not something like S:\eccinstall\install_master.bat)
