Pointing existing ECC Master/Host Agents to a new CC Server
Has anyone gone through the process of changing ECC servers (or in our case merging two established ECC environments)?
I'm looking for an easy way to redirect the existing hosts in one environment to another ECC server in another environment without having to uninstall and reinstall the agents.
I'm assuming I could just stop the agents, edit the .ini files and restart the agents, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet.
Has anyone gone through this and had success (or absolute failure)?
Thanks

You are correct - all you need to do is to edit the ctg.ini and MGA.ini files on the relevant host so that they point to the new IP address of the CC server. Thereafter, all you need to do is stop/restart the Master Agent and the host should then appear in the Console of the new server. The subagents (Host, Symmetrix etc) will automatically point to the new server once the above files have been edited.
