Hi,

Was the host previously discovered in ControlCenter Console? Was it deleted it from the Console at some point? Does it have a Master Agent installed and is it up and running?

If a host is showing up in Performance Manager it means that it is/was a) discovered in ControlCenter b) part of a WLA DCP.

Does the host in question still have a Master Agent installed? If it's Windows then there will be an 'EMC ControlCenter Master Agent' service in Control Panel > Services; if it's UNIX then there should be a start_master.csh file probably under /usr/ecc/exec.

To be honest, it sounds like you may to open a SR with the EMC Customer Support Center so that a Technical Support Engineer can WebEx into your environment to see exactly what's going on there.

Hope that helps...

To check if the host has been discovered PREVIOUSLY you might want to go to this path in the Infrastructure server.

~ECC Install Root~\media_rep\remoteinstall\actions

If the host is in this list, check the logs to see when it is discovered.

Please check if the PM is showing the statistics of this particular host for the present date.

Most of the host agents are installed in Aug,but for some hosts the host agent is installed in Sept,it is not showing up in PM list.

Well for the host which is not showing up in PM, is it discovered in ECC?

If yes, is the DCP for this particular host enabled for WLA Daily?

Lakshmi,

Did you happen to check if the btp files are created? You can find the btp files in the "C:\WLAArchives\Archives\Host\(host not showing up in PM)\daily"

If you are looking for the performance details of the host for 2nd of October, it is usually created as 20081002.btp.

Look for the recent one and see what date it is showing up as.

This question might be stupid, as my friend says, sometimes we miss the simplest things.

Did you happen to check, if the host is included in the DCP enabled?

You might want to restart the host agent and the WLA archiver agent.

Since, all these changes were made today, it takes some time.
I would suggest to check back tomorrow and see if it is working.

If the host is fully discovered in ControlCenter Console and is part of an active WLA policy then it should be collecting data (and appearing in PM). If this is currently not the case then the Host Agent logs need to be investigated in order to see why WLA data is not being collected.

lakshmi1812/bannu - As previously suggested, I strongly recommend that you folks open a SR for this issue. An engineer needs to WebEx into your environment and run an initial 'healthcheck' and see exactly what's going on there.
