Patches needed to upgrade to Control Center 6.1 UB5

I'm getting reading to upgrade our distributed ECC 6.0 environment to ECC 6.1. Are there any required patches that need to be installed in order to ensure a smooth upgrade?

BTW, I was told in an Ionix Roadmap session that Control Center UB5 are being provided via an ISO on Powerlink do you know where I can find this?

TIA

No problem, and good luck with the upgrade.

If you go to the software downloads section for CC 6.x and scroll to the bottom you will see the ISOs for 6.1 A02. This is UB3 so you will still need to apply UB5 after using these CDs. But you will be way ahead of starting with the A01 install media.

As for patches, the best thing to do is grab the most up to date release notes and Installation guide to get the details. They change when you aren't looking, so make sure if you are planning the upgrade for a while that you get the latest and reconfirm before you actually get going.

Allen,

Thanks for the post, but I guess I should clarify. Are there any patches that I'd need to install on Control Center 6.0 in order to ensure a smooth transition?

I read on this post
https://forums.emc.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=586927򏒯

that 6.1 contains all of the patches for 6.0, so if that's the case I wouldn't need to patch ECC 6.0 at all.

I just want to be apsolutly sure before moving forward.

Thanks Again,
Ayo

So, I think this should cover off what you are looking for (although this information came from earlier in the year I don't think it has changed).

* add the following to the beginning of your path variable on the server before starting the upgrade, and remove it when you are done upgrading:
:\ecc\repository\admin\ramb_scripts;
This prevents a DLL conflict that could otherwise cause the upgrade to fail
* Make sure you install HF3928 and use it to properly back up your 6.0 environment prior to upgrading

Other than that, just read the docs carefully (at least twice) and you should be good to go :-)
