Need Help with StorageScope for VMware
Hi,
I am trying to get the VMware esx server's utilization details, i mean i want my report to contain the following fields
ESX server name
Array Name
Allocated Devices
Total KB
Accessible KB
Allocated KB
File System Name
I am running the report using StorageScope 6.0, but i am getting an output which is the same in all rows and columns, i dont understand how to keep the subtotals, i am not getting that. If anyone can help me in getting this report it will be a great help to me.

From Storagescope help-search for "Select sorting, grouping and total options "
Information from Storagescope 6.0 help:-
Sorting and grouping are optional. You can create a StorageScope query that returns unsorted, ungrouped results.
Use the Column Name menu(s) to select column(s) by which to sort the query's results. The query output is sorted first by the column in the first Sort Order, and then. The column in the second position will be the second column by which the results are sorted.
Query results should only be subtotaled on string-based columns, such as "ArrayName" Do not subtotal on numeric, counting or capacity-based columns, such as "# Disks" or "Physical Capacity (KB)".
Hope this information helps you.

With the 6.1 release, you have the option to collapse duplicate rows to a single row. You may choose to not display the columns that make a row unique, such as the ESX server hostname in your report example, to get a capacity subtotal that reflects the array perspective or how much file system storage is connected to the selected ESX server hosts.
