mlragent agent report 100% CPU usage on Linux v2.6.9

One of my customer running ECC control Center 6.0, Linux v2.6.9 and it appears that the master agent - mlragent is using 100% CPU. Stopped the host agent from the ECC console. As soon as the agent was stopped, the processor was ok. I started it back again a few minutes later and the same problem occurred.

Has anyone run into same type of problem, If so, what you had to do to resolve it. Please provide any suggestions/comments. Thanks for your help!

Linux Linux v2.6.9 can be of both 32bit and 64 bit.. So which ECC do you use? Supported for 32bit or 64bit?

if you have server access, do this to confirm

[/root]getconf LONG_BIT
64

The answer is that this is a known bug - you need to get the following patch: 4132

This will update your host level to the following which is a fix specifically for consumming excessive CPU time:

¿ (v6.0.0.0.283) Host Agent for Linux

If you can not find this under the regular download section open a case with SAC and reference that patch number to get it.

Thank you all. You are correct! I was told by EMC support to apply patch 4132.

Please be aware mlragent = Host Agent for Linux (and not the Master Agent process).
