Mapping, masking, meta device creation problems after applying patch 4414

I can't map, mask and create a meta device after applying the patch 4414 to ECC 6.1 server. If anyone has experienced the same problem and want to share how it was resolved, I would appreciate to know.

what error are you getting? did you apply patch to the agent withing ECC afterwards?

Hi Isik,

I believe that you may need to apply the latest 6.1 Java (Server/Store/Console) and Storage Agent for Symmetrix patches to fix this issue. These patches were only released in the past few days.

Patch 4415 - Storage Agent for Symmetrix - Build 6.1.0.0.129 (available on Powerlink)
Patch 4432 - Java - Build 6.1.0.0.138 (not yet on Powerlink; have uploaded it to ftp.emc.com/outgoing/HF4432).

Seamus is correct. I had the same issue, although a local account on the ECC server running the Sym agent could perform these tasks. The patches resolved the issue for me.

After applying patches 4415 and 4432, the issue went away. Thanks to all who has responded.
