Known bug with ControlCenter with Vault drives?
Is there a known issue with the way ControlCenter reports Vault drives? They are reporting correctly at a utilization of 100% however, why is ControlCenter not filtering these out by default? Is there a fix for this? Or what should our clients do to get around this issue?
Thank you for your time,

Hi,
I assume you are referring to Clariion arrays, yes? I am not aware of any known issue with the reporting of vault drives in ControlCenter.
Please open a SR with Customer Service so that WebEx can be setup/logs collected etc.
Thanks,

Not sure how or why you would want ControlCenter to filter these out automatically as it has no way of knowing if you are using the remaining capacity on these drives for actual ser data or not. Lot's of people apparently use the capacity that is available on these drives for actual data. I know this because I have the discussion regularly around that fact that I have instituted a design "Best Practice" for our arrays where we block the potential use of this capacity. We do consume the space but it is reserved and never used. ControlCenter however can't tell that beyond the fact that the capacity is consumed by something that isn't associated with an attached host.
