java and ecc 6.0.0.0.463

I downloaded and installed jre 1.5.0_12 so I could run Celerra Manager on our ECC server. Then noticed I have to restart the server for the change to take effect. It occurred to me at that point that I should have considered how this might impact the execution of storagescope and ECC on this server. Can anyone tell me if I should be concerned? Should I expect ECC and storagescope (and replication manager, too) to function properly after the reboot?
