Is ECC v6.1 supported on Windows 2008 R2 Standard and/or Enterprise?
We are currently running ECC v6.1 UB11 on virtual Windows 2003 R2 SP2.
Is ECC v6.1 supported on Windows 2008 R2 Standard and / or Enterprise edition.
The support matrix indicates parts are and parts aren't.
Not so clear to me.
Thank you.

Hi Bob
Installing ControlCenter 6.1 Infrastructure Components (Server, Repository, Store, StorageScope and WebConsole) in a Windows 2008 R2 environment is not supported
This is because the Windows 2008 R2 operating environment uses a different set of binaries/with a difference in the Kernel code. Therefore, supporting Windows 2008 R2 installation would necessitate the maintenance of two separate ControlCenter code streams and product code changes, which is currently not feasible. For this reason, Windows 2008 R2 is not going to be supported for the ControlCenter Infrastructure components.
Pages 87 to 90 of the Support Matrix shows Infrastructure host support which can be found here https://support.emc.com/products/5690
In ControlCenter 6.1 UB7 and later versions, installing the following ControlCenter agents in Windows 2008 R2 environments is supported:
IMPORTANT! Before installing any of these ControlCenter agents in a Windows 2008 R2 environment, please review the ControlCenter 6.1 Support Matrix for any specified limitations or requirements regarding this implementation.
Regards
Conor
