how create raid1 protection ?

hi

I have 2 physical disk
DF-11c C0
hve 27D
27E
448

DF-11c C0
hve 27D
27E
449

We can see hve 27D and 27E are mirrored. How can i create a raid1 protection between HVE 448-449 ?

I have same question for RAID 3+1

thanks

Simple answer.. you can't. :D

An hypervolume is already a "logical volume". You can create volumes (or change protection of existing ones) but you can't choose where to allocate required space. The only fence you can put is the diskgroup. But you can't choose the specific slice/drive to use. That's true for both mirror and RAID.

I suspect this question is better served in the Symmetrix area of the forums .. If you agree we'll move the thread.
