The Agents View in ControlCenter Console is your best bet in terms of showing which components are installed on each host in your environment. You can find the Agents View by clicking on the wheel icon on the bottom right of the Console window.

Server - This is the manager of the whole infrastructure. The Server component ties everything together
Repository - The Repository is the central "permanent" database that stores all the information ControlCenter maintains
Master Agent - This is just what it sounds like. This agent runs on every host (infrastructure, agent, and managed) and allows basic connectivity to the Server. It allows pushing out other agents as well as patches and updates to other hosts
Host Agent - This agent runs in conjunction with the Master agent. It discovers information about the local host and reports it back to the infrastructure through the Store(s). It is also responsible for gathering host performance data and for alerting back to the infrastructure
WLA Archiver - processes performance data gathered by various agents and prepares it for use by the Performance Manager client
API Server - Just what is sounds like. This component provides API services into ControlCenter
FCC - Fiber Channel Connectivity agent. This agent is responsible for discovering, monitoring, and managing FC SANs
Console - This is the component that allows you to "see" ControlCenter. The console is your window into the Server
SDM - This agent monitors and manages masking for Symmetric arrays
Store - There may be one or more stores. There are databases that gather the information sent in by all the various agents. The store is used as a staging ground for information before it is "permanently" moved into the Repository
Symmetrix - This agent discovers, monitors, and manages all aspects of Symms (except for masking)
Tomcat - The underlying web server for components that present a web interface (e.g. StorageScope, WebConsole)
FLR Archiver - File Level Reporting. This component processes the data gathered by FLR
StorageScope Server - The backend control component for all StorageScope functions
StorageScope Repository - The StorageScope equivalent of the main Repository. This is where the reporting information gets stored once it is extracted (usually nightly) from the main repository
If you need more detail than that, you are going to have to read the guide and probably take a course (highly recommended anyway if you really need to know this stuff)
