FATAL MEMORY ERROR called with NULL pointer
This happening on several servers.
A file is being created with a space at the end of the file:
"/usr/ecc/exec/esnapi/data/esnapi_mem_log_XXXX "
it causes problems with ignite backups.
# file esnapi_mem_log_XXXX\
esnapi_mem_log_2284 : English text
# cat esnapi_mem_log_XXXX\
***** FATAL MEMORY ERROR [EMC_mheap_free_s] called with NULL pointer
***** FATAL MEMORY ERROR [EMC_mheap_free_s] called with NULL pointer
over and over.
I cant find any information on this file or this error and how to fix it...
OS: HP-UX B.11.11
EMC ControlCenter Version 6.0.0.0.33

I believe that this should be fixed in the latest FCC Agent patch, 4477. This will upgrade the FCC Agent to 6.0.0.0.624. Note that you will also have to upgrade Java (Server/Store/Console) to 6.0.0.0.607 (Patch 4439). Both patches are on Powerlink.
Off the top of my head, the only thing that may still cause this issue even after applying 4477 is an unsupported switch model/firmware version.

I had the same problem than Kyle (new brocade switches with firmware 6.1.0.c) . So I'm trying to install patch 4477.
Perequisite of patch 4477 are :
* Java All to: Build Version 6.0.0.0.548 (unable to find this version on PowerLink -> So I download "Java all 6.0.0.0.607" : patch 4439)
* CLARiiON Storage Agent to: Build Version 6.0.0.0.538 (installed today - no pb)
* Symmetrix Storage Agent to: Build Version 6.0.0.0.548 (already installed)
Perequisite of patch 4439 are :
* CLARiiON Storage Agent to: Build Version 6.0.0.0.538 (installed today - no pb)
* Symmetrix Storage Agent to: Build Version 6.0.0.0.563 (unable to find a version greater than 6.0.0.0.548)
* FCC Agent to: Build Version 6.0.0.0.563 unable to find this version on PowerLink but I'm going to install "6.0.0.0.624 Fibre Channel Connectivity Agent" : patch 4477 -> no pb)
So, can you please give us a link where wa can find a "Symmetrix Storage Agent to: Build Version 6.0.0.0.563 " ?

I've not read all your post in the forum... I'm going to search Storage Agent for Symmetrix/Symmetrix SDM Agent - Patch 4410 - Build 6.0.0.0.569
