I think your question would be better suited for the ECC forum. I will move this thread from the Symmetrix to the ECC forum for you.

Hi,

Your switches/fabrics should be preserved during a ControlCenter upgrade. Please open a SR with the Support Center so that a Technical Support Engineer can investigate the issue.

I believe that the FCC agent from 5.x is not compatible for 6.0 and higher. Before upgrade you should have removed the 5.x fcc agent. Remove the FCC agent and install the 6.0 agent and rediscover your switches

It depends which version of ControlCenter is now in place - 6.0 or 6.1? If it's 6.1 and the fabric is Brocade and/or McData then you will more than likely not see it fully discovered in the Console. This is because the 6.1 agent leverages Brocade's native SMI Agents in order to discover switches/fabrics.

There was no change in CC 6.0.

Correct. Also note that not all firmware is compatible with the SMI provider from Brocade and ECC
