ECC STS and Thin Pool Max. Subscription Percent

Hi,

i would like to know if there is a way to know in ECC console and ECC Storage scope the  "Max. Subscription Percent" susbription of a thin pool ?

for the moment i did not find the information in ECC. the only way i found is to used SMC or SYMCLI.

the symcli cmd provide the "Max. Subscription Percent" of a thin pool.

here an exemple :

E:\Travail>symcfg -sid 0690 show -pool F15_R5_03_M -thin -details -gb

Symmetrix ID: 000292600690

Symmetrix ID                  : 000292600690
Pool Name                     : F15_R5_03_M
Pool Type                     : Thin
Dev Emulation                 : FBA
Dev Configuration             : RAID-5(3+1)
Pool State                    : Enabled
# of Devices in Pool          :  32
# of Enabled Devices in Pool  :  32
Max. Subscription Percent     : 150

thanks, laurent

Max. Subscription percent is the limit set on the thin pool when the storage admin creates the thin pool.  This information is not carried over to ControlCenter and hence it is not available in ECC Console or StorageScope.

So, do you have any information if next ECC release will provide this information ?

or do i have to ask for an Enhancement Request.

Laurent,

Why do you want to see this number in StorageScope?  Typically, for numbers like this, we expect people to use SMC.

We currently provide actual subscription rates for thin pools, which represents whether and to what extent a thin pool is oversubscribed.  The max subscription percent is really just a configuration parameter that a storage admin would set that limits whether any new thin devices can be provisioned out of the pool based on the current subscription rate.
