ecc console loses connection

recently, my ECC Console loses its connection to the ECC Server and has to be restarted.

This happens either running the ECC Console remotely or directly on the ECC Server.

A pop up appears with 'ECC Component Stopped - The ECC Console loses its connection to the ECC Server and has to be restarted.'

I'm running 6.1.0.5.100 - GA7

Thanks.

Jim

Hi Jim,

The server.trc and console.trc (Console logging needs to be enabled on startup) files would need to be looked at to determine the root cause of the issue.

Open up a SR with Support if the issue persists.

I have been capturing the Console logging data and I'll open up a SR. It's been an ongoing issue for about a month now but since the holidays, I didn't have dedicated time to troubleshoot this.

Thanks Seamus.

Hi Michael,

I would recommend that you open a SR also.

I have an open SR and I'll post my fix when it is resolved.

Looks like I have solved it.

I have enabled two Inbound Rules in W2k8-Firewall for following programs:

%ProgramFiles% (x86)\ecc\console\bin\createprocessfg.exe

%ProgramFiles% (x86)\ecc\console\jre\latest\bin\java.exe
