ECC 6.0 to 6.1 UB7 upgrade

We're testing out this upgrade with cloned VM's of our physical ECC Infratructure.

6.0 -> 6.1 A02 upgrade does great.

Repository, StorageScope, WLA on 1st server. Store on 2nd server, Symm/CX/FCC Agents on 3rd server.

My question is about the exact order of some things.

In pg9 of UB7 Readme prereq's section, it looks like a console should be installed in order to upgrade WLA archiver agents, upgrade STS and run ETL

Then moving on to UB7.

Also what about the Oracle Security patches. Should those be factored in or does it add more complications to the upgrade?

I've always put in the Oracle patches before any major patching of CC. Not sure how it would work without, but since it all relies on Oracle to work, the only thing you can be really sure of is that the latest Oracle security patch will have been tested with the UB. I will continue to assume Oracle Patch first, UB next.

Hello,

During a recent upgrade from ECC 6.0 to 6.1 UB5, I applied the oracle patches before adding UB5. Be sure to disable WMI also, it gave problems during the oracle patch.

In the readme for UB5 it is said that oracle patches might be required, not sure how it is for UB7.
