ECC 6.0 DR Version on VMWARE
Question.
We have a DR site with DMX-4 running for Srdf-a and Sancopy replication. Currently this is discovered in our prod ECC 6.0 console. For initial DR tests we provisioned by using the normal console...everything is in one large fabric...we have the need to isolate this away for a true test..in other words don't expect to have access to the prod ECC environment and run an ECC 6.0 environment at DR site in vmware..is that possible and also can a SYM run under two separate ECC environments?

This instance of CC would also discover (at least partially) the DMX in your prod site through the SRDF/A link. You may be able to avoid this by using the SymmAvoid functionality in SE. I have never used it though so I can't provide much guidance there.
There should be no issue with multiple instances of CC "seeing" the DR DMX as long as it is through seperate Solutions Enabler instances on different hosts.

Yes, you can run another implementation of CC deployed as VMs in a virtualized ESX environment. Just make sure to read up carefully on the additional information required to size the VMs properly.
You may need to confirm with your EMC Account Team as well. I don't know for sure how the licensing works for CC if you are deploying multiple instances to monitor the same infrastructure. I would think it wouldn't be an issue, but who knows.
